Emotional Intelligence

Overview

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.

Unlike IQ, EQ is not a static factor. One’s Emotional Intelligence changes and can be developed over time.

Applications of EI include:

  • Leadership Development
  • Selection
  • Organisational Development
  • Executive Coaching
  • Team Building
  • Student Development

This programme consists of a one day workshop followed by individual coaching and feedback sessions (approx 1.5 hours per participant) on a day following the workshop.

While Emotional Intelligence isn’t the sole predictor of human performance and development potential, it is proven and there is a robust business case that it is a key indicator in these areas.

The EQi 2.0 and the EQ 360 explore the following areas:

  • Self Perception
  • Self Expression
  • Interpersonal
  • Decision Making
  • Stress Management,

broken down into a total of 15 subscales with five composite scores and an overarching ‘Total EI’ score.
